Hello!
I’m Benedetta — an Italian artist and illustrator based in Paris.
I work across editorial illustration, children’s books and mural art, exploring womanhood and everyday life with a touch of irony. My work uses bold shapes and limited colour palettes, drawing from the visual language of hand-printed graphic traditions.
Before becoming an illustrator, I worked in energy policy across Europe. Leaving that world wasn’t just a career change — it was choosing a slower, more grounded way of working.
Since 2022, I’ve worked internationally for magazines, newspapers, institutions and cultural projects — including Anorak Magazine, The Flying Carpet Children’s Festival, Beneficial Shock! Magazine, and several European organisations. In 2023, I received the Art Directors Award in the Inkygoodness Editorial Illustration Challenge, and in 2025 I was selected for The New York Times Portfolio Review.
I also host illustration meetups in Paris as the official AOI representative for France, creating spaces where artists can connect, share approaches and speak honestly about the realities of creative work.
When I’m not drawing, you’ll probably find me at a sunny café table with a glass of wine and a sketchbook.
